Grinter Place State Historic Site presents a puppet workshop and performance Saturday, November 14, 2009.
This family-friendly puppet event begins with a children’s puppetry workshop at 1 p.m., followed by a performance from the Puppetry Arts Institute at 2 p.m.
The $10 fee for children includes workshop materials for their puppet and admission to the puppet show. Parents and other adults may purchase puppet show tickets for $5. Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult during the workshop and puppet show.
The puppet show is called "Lewis & Clark: A Dog’s Eye View," and explores the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery through the eyes of Seaman, the first dog to cross the continent. This 45-minute puppet performance is suitable for ages 5 and older.
