History Day CampsGet a head start this summer on your History Day entry!Beginner Classes - 6th Grade Advanced Classes - 7th through 12th Grade
Location: Based at the Kansas Historical Society's State Archives & Library, Topeka, KS Cost: $85 per student, per camp Teachers: Topic for 2009 History Day Competition: The Individual in HistoryVisit area libraries and research facilities, gather resources, and start developing a thesis statement. Learn reserarch methods and note-taking skills. Registration Includes: A list of suggested topics and theme explanation will be mailed before
the beginning of camp. It is recommended that you select a topic prior
to the camp. You will receive a National History Day rulebook and other
materials, plus personal assistance from State Archives & Library
professional staff.
Enrollment Deadline: Three weeks prior to each camp. Refund Deadline: Two weeks prior to each camp. Capacity: Space is limited. A waiting list will be created once maximum capacity is met. A confirmation letter will be sent along with the list of topics and a copy of the State Archives & Library's researcher policies and a registration card. Camps will be canceled if minimum registration number is not met. A total refund will be given for camp that are canceled.
