Grinter Place - Quilt Show
Join us for the annual quilt show.
- Local quilts on display in the visitor center and house
- Quilter's table, featuring craft items
- Visitors can see and make a donation for a chance on this year's opportunity quilt, hand-quilted by the Grinter Place Quilters. The quilt will be given away to one lucky person in January.
11 a.m Friday and noon Saturday - Connie Mosier will talk about the restoration and care of quilts and fabric. Mosier is general manager of Blanc Plume Fine French Laundry, Kansas City, Kansas.
Noon - 2 p.m. Sunday - Chicken noodle soup lunch. $6 per person, includes tour of house.
Admission to the quilt show is free. Admission to tour the house is $3 adults, $1 students. Kansas Historical Foundation members and children five and younger admitted free. Grinter Place State Historic Site is located at 1420 S. 78th Street, Kansas City. For more information, call 913-299-0373.
