Kansas Historical Society - History and Environmental Fair
This annual event aims to teach students grades four through six how Kansans have been "living green" for generations. Learn how nature and the environment have shaped our lives and how we, in turn, have impacted our environment. The fair will feature some 30 different hands-on activities, displays, and a nature trail that will educate students in many aspects of environmental issues. During the fair, students can:
- Learn the evolution of the light bulb
- Peddle to power up a TV
- Play water jeopardy
- Meet animals that changed the world
- Map the natural landmarks of Kansas
This event is co-sponsored by the Shawnee County Conservation District and is free and open to the public.
