KITES Exhibit FormatsKITES exhibits come in two formats: free-standing and wall-hung. Consider your space and format needs when booking a KITES exhibit. Do you have adequate wall space to hang the exhibit? Do you have adequate open floor space for a free-standing exhibit system? Please check the "exhibit format" listing under each exhibit description to determine the type of mounting system for that exhibit before you book the exhibit. FREE--STANDING (NIMLOK) ExhibitsMost of our exhibits come with a free-standing panel system (called "Nimlok") that is easy to set up and is flexible to work in most spaces. One Nimlok set contains five (5) panels; each panel measures 3' by 4'. Panels are framed and can hang either vertically or horizontally from support poles. Special clips connect these panels to the poles. Most five-panel sets work well by configuring them to create a zig-zag wall that can be viewed from both sides. A space of 500 square feet is adequate for this five-panel system. Some of the free-standing format exhibits can also be used without the Nimlok display system. This option saves some of the cost of shipping, but it does require an alternate display method such as propping against a wall, using easels, or using picture railings. Please specify this preference when booking. WALL-HUNG ExhibitsA few of our KITES exhibits are made to be hung directly on the walls of a gallery, hallway, lobby, or other large room. Most of these panels have metal frames and plexiglas, and are numbered on the reverse side to assist hanging in the correct order. These exhibits can also be used by propping against a wall or by using easels or picture railings. |
