Charles Lindbergh

- Born in Michigan
- Took his first airplane ride in 1922
- After a few days of pilot lessons, the trainer he flew was sold to men in Bird City
- Followed the plane and gained flying experience as a barnstormer in the Midwest
- Gained fame with first non-stop flight from New York to Paris in 1927
