Clarina Nichols

- Born in Vermont
- Joined the New England Emigrant Aid Society and moved to Kansas territory in 1854
- Became associate editor of the Quindaro Chindowan, abolitionist newspaper
- Campaigned for equal rights of women during the Wyandotte Constitutional Convention
