Explore by Region - Wooded Hills

Wooded hillsEnter the rolling vistas of the east, covered with stately cottonwoods and oaks. Rivers and creeks along with higher rainfall bring lush greenery to the eastern part of Kansas. Tour the glacial hills of the northeast, the broad terraces of the Osage Questas to the south, and glimpse the beginnings of the Ozark Plateau in the far southeast. There are three state historic sites located within this region.
