Governor's Easter Egg Hunt
The Governor's Easter Egg Hunt is held at Cedar Crest each year. Hosted by the Governor and First Spouse the event usually begins at 10 a.m. Saturday the day before Palm Sunday and is for children ages one to nine.
The event is free, and a free shuttle service from the Security Benefit parking lot on S.W. 6th to Cedar Crest usually begins at 8:30 a.m. Handicapped-accessible parking will be available in the parking lot west of Cedar Crest.
The hunt is usually divided into four age groups: one- to two-year-olds, three- to four-year-olds, five- to six-year-olds, and seven- to nine-year-olds. Children are usually able to interact with the Easter Bunny and other favorite characters.
The 2016 event is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, in Topeka.
