Iowa and Sac & Fox Mission
Exterior signs tell the story of this site that was built in 1845 as a Presbyterian mission to educate the children of the Iowa and Sac & Fox. The mission grew from a one-room log structure to a large three-story building. After the reservations of the native people were moved farther away, the mission closed in 1863. A portion of the mission was razed in 1868 and materials were used at the college in Highland.
