Kansas Day at the Museum 2006
Thank you for exploring Kansas 145th birthday with us!
On Kansas Day 2006 we explored cowboys in Kansas. Activities, performances, and exhibits focused on the history of the cowboy. Students tried twirling trick ropes, listened to the songs and stories of Kansas cowboys, visited the drovers' car on our train where cowboys lived while tending their cattle, and experienced the life of the cowboy through the lens of Hollywood moviemakers. Our Museum's Special Exhibit explored Kansas in the westerns.
