Request for Proposals

The Kansas Historical Society assists cultural resources across the state through various financial incentive programs.  The following grant-assisted properties and projects are seeking proposals, bids, or qualifications from contractors and consultants.  Please address all inquiries to the project contact listed.

NEWTON - The city of Newton, KS is seeking proposals for development of a mobile website that will highlight historic sites and structures in Newton and North Newton, KS in conjunction with the city's development of a historic driving tour brochure. DOUGLAS COUNTY - Proposals are being sought by Douglas County, KS for a Historic Resources Intensive Survey of Lecompton Township. See the full RFP here. Proposals must be submitted by 3:00pm, Friday, January 20, 2017. Please contact Jackie Waggoner in Division of Purchasing at jwaggoner@douglas-county.com or 785-832-5286 with any questions. 

DOUGLAS COUNTY - Proposals are being sought by Douglas County, KS for a Natural, Cultural, and Historic Resources Reconnaissance Survey of Willow Springs Township. See the full RFP here. Proposals must be submitted by 3:00pm, Friday, January 20, 2017. Please contact Jackie Waggoner in Division of Purchasing at jwaggoner@douglas-county.com or 785-832-5286 with any questions. This project is not partially funded by any grant from the Kansas Historical Society, but is being posted in coordination with the request above.
