History
The Kansas Historical Society was housed at the Kansas State Capitol when it was founded in 1875. In 1914 the collections were moved to the newly constructed Memorial Building in downtown Topeka. Over time, the Historical Society expanded to include the Kansas Museum of History and divisions dedicated to cultural resources, education, and historic sites. more
