These sites span the High Plains, Flint Hills, Woodland, U.S. 36, and East I-70 areas and cover various themes in Kansas history—forts and trails, Bleeding Kansas and the Civil War, Kansas families, and American Indian history. Hours and admission fees vary at these sites, please see specific locations for more details.

Many of the Kansas State Historic Sites offer standards-based tours with prior notice. Some offer exterior interpretive signage or trails and special programs. Please call ahead to check admission fees, hours, or other specific information at the individual sites.
