A fun magazine for kids!

The Kansas Historical Society is proud to produce a magazine that helps Kansas students improve their EXPOSITORY READING SKILLS and at the same time gain a new understanding and appreciation for state history. You can use Kansas Kaleidoscope: Real People. Real Stories for Kids! in your classroom to help students:

Learn to read fluently

Expand vocabulary

Comprehend a variety of text structures

Develop the skill of using primary and secondary sources

Identify and describe significant people, places, and events in Kansas history

The annual subscription for five issues is $8 ($6.50 for 10 or more to the same address). Back issues are available in print and some electronic versions. From Volume 7 forward free Teacher Supplement pages are available online.
