Current EventsWorkshop Information & Tax Credits InformationHeritage Trust Fund Grant Workshops for 2009The Heritage Trust Fund (HTF) is a state program that provides matching funds for the preservation of properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places or the Register of Historic Kansas Places. This is a competitive grant program, in which applicants compete for the funds that are available for that year. The deadline for applications for the 2009 round of grants will be March 1, 2009. The deadline for the preliminary application for staff review is January 15, 2009. Applications will be available in August 2008 as well as at scheduled workshops. Dates of workshops are below. In addition to information on the HTF grant program, the workshop will have an afternoon informational session discussing Tax Incentives for Rehabilitation. September 9, 2008 October 6, 2008 November 5, 2008 December 9, 2008 Attendance at HTF workshops is not required for submission of an application, but it is strongly encouraged. At the workshops, HTF staff will discuss the application process, approaches to take to the writing of the application, and will answer questions concerning the program. There is no cost involved and advanced registration is not required. However, we encourage you to call 785-272-8681, ext. 245 if you plan to attend so we can estimate attendance and notify you in the event of inclement weather and/or workshop cancellation.
