Hillary Spratt and Maya Weil, "The Fight For Control: The Creation of the Pill," Central Junior High School, Lawrence, teacher Dari Hilbert; received the Outstanding Kansas Student Award for their Junior Group Documentary.

Lacy George, Christal McClure, Jessica Schwalm, and Jessica Shelton, "If Not For Miss Nutter," Uniontown High School, Uniontown, teacher Norm Conard; received the Outstanding Kansas Student Award for their Senior Group Exhibit.
