In spite of all endeavors, the majority of the Shawnees were dissatisfied, claiming that the 20 or so Shawnee in Arkansas, left behind to tend the livestock, would now probably not come. If they do arrive, you will be informed.

Cummins asks Pilcher to reply to this request as soon as possible, as Indians in general are more dissatisfied with no answer than they are by an answer of rejection.
