Tours
Site tours are provided by site administrator. For groups of more than 10, we request two weeks prior notice.
School groups can schedule guided site tours with two weeks prior notice. Also available are these theme tours, American Indian Homes in the Central Plains, Nature, A Pawnee Means of Survival, and When Smoke Curled Upward from Earth Lodges.
Nature trail
View depressions of earth lodges of the people who occupied this area in the late 1700s. Educators may want to encourage students to form a human ring to compare the size. The Kitkahahki band once walked these trails in search of game, returning from a raid, or gardening nearby. The nature trail makes an excellent outdoor classroom and has picnic facilities.
