Born February 7, 1867, Laura Ingalls Wilder's family moved to a cabin in southeast Kansas when she was young. Stories she and her daughter wrote based on these experiences became the popular "Little House" series of children's books.
On February 15, 1893, the Populists blocked entry to Representative Hall, leading to the Legislative War. Republicans used sledgehammers to break down the doors and regain control.
