Scope and content: One volume, for the years 1887-1888, concerns guardianship cases. Provides information concerning estate's, guardian's, and minor(s)' name(s); bond amount and who acted as sureties; minor(s)' age(s); dates when various procedures were filed (e.g. letters issued, inventory approved, et al.); amounts for appraisement, what was allowed to the widow, what came from the sale bill; date, balance, and order of court for settlement of the estate and all accounts; where information was recorded; and information concerning claims allowed against a minor's estate, such as the date filed, to whom allowed, which class, and what amount allowed. The second volume, for the years 1881-1915, is for decedents' estates. Besides providing the same information as in the other volume, lists out the widow's and heirs' names. Both volumes contain alphabetical indexes organized by surname.
