Scope and content: Volumes containing criminal dockets recoding general information and providing a synopsis of criminal cases appearing before an Osawatomie justice of the peace. The volumes are dated May 22, 1928 to November 22, 1958. The dockets state the docket number, justice of the peace name, parties involved, crime committed, the dates that subpoenas and warrants were issued and returned, and summaries of court orders, summons, affidavits, and judgments for each case. The crimes primarily involve neglect, theft, check forgery, driving without a license, fraud, highway crimes, disturbing the peace, and carrying illegal firearms.
