School District Bonds Registers

Scope and content: Two volumes documenting bonds issued by the Morris County Commissioners to raise money for the school fund. One volume lists the issuer name, bond number, date, to whom issued, amount, when due, number of coupons, and interest rate. These are issues primarily by banks. The second volume lists the issuer, bond number, date of issue, to whom issued, amount, when due, number of coupons, rate of interest, how payable, where payable, by whom signed, by whom attested, countersigned, and date of cancellation. The bonds are organized by number. These records were identified by the Works Progress Administration Historical Records Survey as being significant. See inventory 64, pages 152 and 229.
