Scope and content: Two dockets containing summaries of all actions taken in civil cases appearing before the justice of the peace of Dodge City Township. The volumes contain an alphabetical index organized by surname of plaintiff with corresponding page numbers. The entries provide a record of court appearances showing case number, title and cause, attorneys, dates and nature of pleadings filed and writs issued, sheriff’s return, court orders, record of fees and costs, and summaries of judgment for each case. The cases mostly involve indebtedness or destruction of property. Provides a good synopsis of each case. One volume is dated 1891-1903 while the other is dated 1889-1902.
