Scope and content: A microfilmed volume containing "Petitions for Authority to Sell Real Estate," completed by estate administrators or guardians seek to sell real estate of a deceased's estate. The records were submitted to the Ford Count Probate Court. Each petition states the name of the administrator, name of the estate, a description of the real estate, and the reasons behind the sale. Signed by a probate judge for approval. Included are "Order of Sale" forms authorizing the transaction, "Report of Sale" forms submitted by the estate administrator to the probate court documenting the actual sale, and appointment of appraisers forms. Index by surname of the decedents.
