Scope and content: Microfilmed volumes containing copies of marriage licenses, documenting marriages in Morris County. The licenses state the bride and groom names, ages, date, that they are not related by blood, and that they are in good health. The licenses are signed by witnesses and a probate judge. Each license also includes a signed statement from the pastor or justice of the peace verifying that the performed the marriage. The volumes are indexed by surname and organized by date.
