Madge Blake
Madge Blake was born May 31, 1899, in Kinsley, Kansas. Although Blake wanted to act at a young age, her father discouraged her acting dreams and Blake’s career did not get started until she was 50. During World War II both Blake and her husband were involved in the war effort. After the war Blake began acting at an acting school and her career took off from there. Best known for her role as Aunt Harriet on ABC’s Batman, Blake has also played on The Dick Van Dyke Show and My Favorite Martin as well as many others. Blake died of a heart attack on February 19, 1969, in Pasadena, California.
