Main Gallery - The Story of Kansas
The Kansas Museum of History opened in west Topeka in 1984 and closed for major renovations in September 2022. The previous exhibits told the story of our state's past highlighting native peoples, forts and trails, Bleeding Kansas and the Civil War, settlement, trains and towns, 20th century, fast food, and recent past.
