Covid-19 Response:

The Kansas Historical Society has instituted enhanced measures including frequent cleaning, the addition of plexiglass shields at check-in points, requiring all staff members to wear masks and socially distance themselves. Some aspects of our safety procedures change frequently depending on the data available. The counties in which our sites are located dictate the maximum number of people who are allowed to gather. At some sites the Kansas Historical Society may further limit the number of people due to the size of the spaces. The state of Kansas requires that visitors traveling into Kansas from specific states may be required to self-quarantine for 14 days. This list changes frequently and can be accessed via Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Future openings will be announced for Kansas Museum of History's Discovery Place and Kansas State Capitol's dome tours when guidelines and social distancing allow.
